With the wind from the north I was fairly optimistic on the way out to the lookout. First bird was a close range Peregrine vandrefalk flying past. Several skuas including 2 Long-tailed Skua fjelljo and a Pomarine Skua polarjo headed north early on but as the wind increased the skua passage stopped. All in all rather little passing.....
Other records included a Red Knot polarsnipe and two Ruddy Turnstone steinvender and a total of 46 Black-legged Kittiwake krykkje - an alarmingly low number for the highest day count thus far this spring! This is not the only species to have had a very poor showing this year.
